Molyan started simply as a creative outlet for founder Molyan “Molly” Dery, who’s professionally an anesthetist. Backed by her interest in the traditional techniques of chain stitch and with the beautiful desert landscapes of El Paso—where she grew up—as a major influence in her designs, Molyan has grown into a label beloved by fashion and art enthusiasts in and beyond Austin, Texas.
Every piece of Molyan’s creations—from jackets and coats to accessories—is handcrafted in small batches, locally in Austin, Texas. It is to ensure that quality is consistently top-notch and made thoughtfully by artisans who love the craft. Inspiration for Molyan comes from everywhere!
At the moment, we're particularly inspired by mosaic tiles in stained glass, unusual color combinations, nature, my daughters' drawings, architecture, and street style, among many other things.
