Who would have thought that mundane things we use on the daily, such as soaps and incense, could be elevated into art? For that, we have Olmä, a home and body care brand based in Montréal, Canada, that does it best.
Olmä offers a range of soaps and incense in forms that take inspiration from nature but do not compromise on quality—handcrafted using natural botanical ingredients and without synthetic preservatives.
With a very specific identity in mind, Olmä’s sculpture-like creations are uniquely packaged like biological specimens that are often seen in laboratories (how cool is that?), and in every delivery, their sustainable packaging is there to seal the deal. Read on to learn more about Olmä!
Tell us a bit about your brand!
Olmä is a soap and incense brand that combines technology, precise ingredients, and biomimicry. With Olmä, Maïa Godard creates objects that are thought to bridge the gap between nature and your home.
The various clay color mixtures and the soap's propensity to melt, along with the incense's burning process, result in unique shapes. When inert, the object transforms from a functional to a sculptural shape.
Tell us about the design for your packaging and how you’re using them?
Most of the products are vacuum-sealed to give them a specimen-like appearance and to keep them as sterile as possible. Packaging plays a crucial role as it directs my brand's design and identity and allows the product to be safely delivered to the customer, especially for fragile items. I think of the packaging as a translator of the message I'm trying to convey, turning it into a tangible form.
What made noissue a good fit for your packaging?
noissue is perfect for my small business because they allow for smaller order quantities, making it affordable. Additionally, their expertise in design is invaluable. I have always found their packaging to be of very good quality.
